Oil Trades Lower Amid COVID-19 Worries

Oil prices declined on Thursday, amid fears over a resurgence in coronavirus infections across the globe that could slow a recovery in fuel demand.

In the US, fatalities from the virus topped 150 thousand while Brazil set new daily records of confirmed cases and deaths.

Earlier in the day, Total reported a net loss in the second quarter of 2020 of €8.4 billion and put it down to low oil prices caused by the pandemic-induced economic crisis.
